The SAGARDI Group’s business model is based on managing its own establishments. The group started its international expansion in 2008 when it crossed the Atlantic to open its first restaurant in Argentina (Buenos Aires). It is currently also present in Porto (Portugal), Mexico City (Mexico) and London (United Kingdom) and is planning to open new restaurants in the leading food capitals of the world.
The SAGARDI Group bases its international development on joint ventures with local investing partners; it offers neither franchises nor licenses. The purpose is to establish the company in the country where the restaurant group aims to develop in order to introduce the SAGARDI BASQUE COUNTRY CHEFS brand in the chosen region. As the industrial partner, SAGARDI Group provides the brand, know-how and wholesale management of the project, including the operating and managerial staff needed to develop it.
