IRATI marks the start of the gastronomic project that is Grupo SAGARDI. A small restaurant conceived over 20 years ago by chefs Iñaki and Mikel Lz de Viñaspre, where the San Sebastian “pintxo” was first introduced to Barcelona. Throughout the years, this place has become a referent for traditional Basque cuisine in the city; a place where tradition and innovation come together to offer a unique and authentic gastronomic experience

Pintxos bar

The San Sebastian pintxo, a concept that unites the two great passions of the Basque people: food and friendship, is the star of IRATI. It is all of the tradition and culinary experience of the Basque Country reproduced in miniature gastronomic delights that combine quality products and imagination to be eaten in an informal environment, and always in good company.

In the dining room, there is space for more intimate gatherings where you can enjoy the best Basque cuisine on tables with tablecloths. We offer a short, simple menu with fresh products as key protagonists, making it a true reflection of Basque cuisine with our ever-present personal signature.

IRATI is located in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, just off Las Ramblas, near the Liceu opera house and a few meters from the Boqueria Market. Over the years, IRATI has become one of the pilgrimage spots for lovers of authentic Basque cuisine in Barcelona.
