The bean is a product of great tradition in Euskadi, which has been cultivated in our farms for more than 500 years. These are high-quality beans, which belong to selected varieties and have been cataloged by professional tasters of “very good” or “excellent”. The three most characteristic types are: Bean from Tolosa, Bean “Pinta” from Alava and Bean from Gernika.
It is collected manually from the end of September to the beginning of October. It is a product with designation of origin «Eusko Label Kalitatea» and is usually tasted accompanied by black pudding and the prestigious Ibarra chillies.
